7th May Fallow DIY
I am away, you can play like mice and do whatever you like - artistically. If you want a lead then follow on last week, bring coloured objects like the image and study how light or dark the tonal areas area before you use paint, a good way is to do a black based monochrome study first, make sure the tones are right then do a second painting with colours at the correct value to match the tone.

Moving to abstraction
Working from a sketch or photo with interesting shapes, tones and colours, define a specific area to abstract. Move through several stages, with a reduced palette, application of washes, a mix of marks, increasing tone and final adjustment to achieve a unified colour abstract far away from the original. email study notes to follow. Hairdryer will be useful between stages.
